FIELD: railway transport; rolling stock inspection and repair stations. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of wheelset locating comes to the following: wheelset flanges are placed on supports of locating device, with wheelset being additionally fixed in cross and longitudinal positions and fixed position preserved till the end of measurement cycle. Supports or locating device are used as fixing elements. Said supports are made in form of rollers whose contact surface corresponds to contact surface of wheelset wheel flanges. Invention includes also wheelset locating device and wheelset positioning device containing table made of locating device and support platform, and complex for measuring normalized linear dimensions of wheelsets containing foundation, rail track, and coordinate measuring machine. EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurements owing to reduction of influence of different forces acting onto mechanical part of complex as a whole and devices included into complex. 5 cl, 15 dwg
