FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method involves determining cornea sensitivity by means of esthesiometer. The cornea surface is stained using fluorescein and clinical eye refraction. Optical force and cornea thickness are measured. Sensitivity being found within the limits of 1.0-3.0 g/mm², corneal epithelium being not stained within 20-30 s long pigment exposure time, clinical refraction being equal to 0.75-8 diopters in myopia cases and 1.5-5.0 diopters in hypermetropia cases, optical force of cornea being equal to 41-46 diopters and thickness being greater than 450 mcm, the operation is considered to be indicated.;EFFECT: high accuracy of study.
