FIELD: microbiology, ecology.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates, in particular, to methods for selection of single-plasmid variants of anthrax pathogen in S-form. For realization of method the parent strain B. anthracis comprising S- and R-dissociative forms of anthrax pathogen cells is inoculated by streak planting, and the strain M. xanthus for their combined growth also. After additional culturing the planting at 37 C for 72 h the growth of M. xanthus appeared on agar surface about the grown streak of B. anthracis and M. xanthus exhibits form of "jets" with fruit bodies containing B. anthracis encapsulated cells that are removed by bacteriological loop. Biomass of removed M. xanthus fruit bodies comprising clones of B. anthracis in S-form are inoculated in nutrient broth and cultured at 37 C for 18-24 h. Then broth is planted by streaks on surface of solid nutrient medium for formation of single colonies of B. anthracis in S-form. The application of method provides constructing and study anthrax microorganism strains eliciting different set of own plasmids that, in turn, allow study ecological systems with assay of ecological valence of components that is important for the solution of epidemiological problems.;EFFECT: improved selection method.;2 cl, 5 dwg, 1 tbl, 2 ex
