FIELD: microwave treatment of liquid and loose media in agriculture, food, oil refining, and other industries; production of microwave apparatuses for treatment of liquid and loose media.;SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes organization of loss distribution for microwave energy supplied from electromagnetic oscillation source in liquid or loose medium under treatment held in tank and characterized in electromagnetic loss; for the purpose use is made of process of external electromagnetic oscillation field attenuation in section of open irregular transmission line placed in liquid or loose medium under treatment and characterized in this medium by chosen electromagnetic field energy distribution varying along line according to mechanism of monotonously rising bounded continuous function f(z) possessing values from 0 to 1, where z is direction along line axis. Device implementing this method has microwave energy input unit disposed in tank and coupled with microwave energy source by means of microwave channel and interface unit; microwave energy input unit is made in the form of load-handling section of open irregular transmission line characterized in microwave energy loss distribution in medium being treated along section of open irregular transmission line varying according to mechanism of monotonously rising bounded continuous function f(z), where z is direction along line axis. Open irregular transmission line can be made from branched open irregular lines and device can be loaded either into lumped resistor whose rating is chosen between zero and infinity or into section of open irregular line whose input resistance equals load resistance.;EFFECT: enhanced intensity of electromagnetic microwave energy impact on medium under treatment; enhanced permissible power level of microwave energy supplied to its input unit.;6 cl, 4 dwg
