FIELD: performing hot repairs of refractory linings. ; SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of surface to be repaired, setting the required temperature, applying exothermal refractory mixture which contains quartzite treated with adhesive as refractory powder-like filler, metallic powder, stabilizing additive and oxidizer-gaseous oxygen; then, mixture is ignited and powder-like filler is molten; surface layer is slightly molten and faced layer of ceramic mass is formed. Exothermal refractory mass is fed to surface in oxygen jet at specific flow rate of mixture of 0.025-0.030 kg/ sq cm.c. Material forming oxides of alkaline metals during thermal decomposition may be used as adhesive; content of oxides of alkaline metals in formed faced layer of ceramic mass is 1.3-1.5%; use may be made of soda ash water glass at density of 1.35-1.50 g/cu cm. Ceramic mass of surface layer formed at hot repair shall contain the following components, mass-%:SiO2, 95-98; Fe2O3, 0.5-1.0; Al2O3, 0.5-1.0; CaO, 0.2-1.5 and Na2O, 1.3-1.5. ; EFFECT: enhanced stability; reduced losses of mass and power; enhanced mechanical and service properties of coat. ; 5 cl, 4 tbl, 2 ex
