Data strip for storage of printed coded data with a high data density, whereby the printed surfaces are divided into raster cells of predefined form and position. Each raster cell comprises two patterns that are rotated relative to each other and are not rotationally symmetric. A defined number of raster cells are combined to form a macro raster cell. The rotational position of individual patterns in the raster cells is optimally fixed. For data coding all patterns are rotated by the same angle.
