The device turns ID cards from a transverse position (1) into longitudinal (2) position. It consists of side guides (4,5) on either side of the cards extending from intake end to ejection end, and elements (3) for straight transport. An obstruction (7) on one side of the movement track (6) initiates a turning movement, and there is a guide track with rotating balls (8) to move the cards around the obstruction. The balls are moved by a drive wheel (9).
