The multiple helically toothed gearwheel pressed in one piece has a first and second toothing formed by a pressing of the gearwheel (20') in a press tool with a cylindrical generated surface of a first forming tool section (3) and cylindrical surface of a second forming tool section (6). The first helical toothing has different spiral pitch to the second helical toothing, and has a root diameter which deviates at most by 10 per cent of that of the second toothing. The gearwheel in a section axially between the two sets of toothing has the same low-failure structure as in the axial sections in which the helical toothing sets are formed. Independent claims are included for a pressing procedure to form a multiple helically toothed gear, and for a press tool for the one piece pressing of a multiple helically toothed gearwheel.
