The method for removing a light liquid phase floating on a water surface in a container or a spring involves use of a pump (2) with electronic control to maintain a specified liquid level with the aid of a level sensor (3) for purposes of light liquid phase removal. This allows the position of the inlet opening of the light liquid phase to remain unaltered. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for implementation of the proposed method.
