Composite material (I) for screening from ultrahigh frequency electromagnetic fields comprises (a) ferrite powder modified with a conductive polymer, (b) electrically-conductive non-metallic particles and (c) an organic binder. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of (I) in which the ferrite (a) is modified with intrinsically conductive polymers (ICP) by known chemical/physical coating processes from the liquid phase (2) a method for the use of (I) by applying a coating of the material by spreading, roller-coating, painting or other common coating methods (3) a method for the use of (I) in which products such as film, strips, tubes, casings and coatings are formed by methods such as roll-milling, calendering, injection moulding, extrusion or compression moulding; and (4) a method for the production of (I) in which the material is hardened thermally or photochemically or by the action of moisture at room temperature.
