The sealing bellows (5) for the sealing of ball joints and pivot joints has a waisting dividing it into two sections of which one faces the joint and the other an annular flange (10) facing away from it. The bellows has radial ring-form recesses (16) in the inner (17) or outer (18) face, between the waisting (8) and second end of the bellows. The bellows may have one recess in the outer face and two in the inner face, which are offset in relation to one another. The recesses in the circumferential direction have approximately the depth of a third of the width of the circular cross sectional face of the annular flange.
