The seal assembly (10), for the overflow (12) at a washbasin (14) or bathtub, has a seal (16) with one side in front of the washbasin wall (18) to enclose the overflow and a clamp (20) to hold an anchor (22) at the other side of the wall to apply pressure to the seal, together with a spring (46). The anchor has a rod structure, with a hammer shape in a longitudinal section, with a holder opening (28) for insertion on a tilting axis (24), with a larger inner diameter than the outer diameter of the axis.
