A dispenser for interleaved wipes has a box shaped container (10) fitted onto a wall via a mounting plate (11) and with a hinged access (30) for refilling. The wipes are dispensed via a sot in the bottom of the box and with a shutter (28) to clamp the leading edge of the bottom wipe to prevent moisture loss from the impregnated wipes. The shutter is either secured by an elastic hinge (27) or is moved by a slider (23) operated via a push control (25) on the front of the dispenser.
