Pultrusion process for manufacture of sharpenable pencils and crayons is made by pultrusion of a hollow profile of continuous fiber reinforced natural polymer

A hollow profile which surrounds a coloring stick is made by a pultrusion process in which a polymer (3) impregnated continuous fiber is drawn through a die (6) with a mandrel (5). The coloring stick is introduced into the hollow profile, preferably by extrusion of a curable polymer containing colored pigments. An independent claim is also included for a pencil or crayon made by the process.
