The two rollers (16,17) of the switch tongue throw system are raised by respective shaft-fitted cams, the roller shafts (14,15) being so joined by a coupling element that the height adjustment of one roller automatically entrains the second roller adjustment. Both rollers (16,17) remain at identical heights in both adjusted positions, using cams of identical excentricity. The shafts can be fitted with additional cams joined to the roller coupling element. The element presents a coupling bar used to transfer the movement of one shaft to the other. The roller switch unit can be retrofitted to the rail (2) foot by releasable clamp.
