The altitude regulation process involves replacing a certain proportion of the helium with superheated steam as the lift gas in separate balloons. When necessary, the superheated steam can be cooled and reheated to regulate the climb and descent of the airship. A water circuit is formed, in which evaporation and condensation take place. All the water stays on board.
