Hydrostatic displacement machine, especially an axial or radial piston engine, comprises at least one displacement body (1) supported on a stroke-producing track (4) and having stroke movements defined by a stroke curve. The track is designed so that the lifting curve of the displacement body has a course deviating from the sinusoidal form and optimized in view of a low volume flow pulsation of the displacement machine. Preferred Features: The stroke curve is optimized with respect to the kinematic and the actual volume flow pulsation of the displacement machine.
