Pressure distribution ring (18) comprises a number of axially moving plungers (20) distributed over its periphery for arranging on a cutting tool (11) or spacer ring (13). All the plungers are connected to a pressure chamber filled with a tensioned fluid and formed in the pressure distribution ring so that all the plungers are impinged by the fluid with equal pressure. Preferred Features: The plungers are provided with stops which limit the axial movements opposite the pressure distribution ring. The pressure chamber extends over the periphery of the pressure distribution ring and has sections of individual holes.
