Method for correction of systematic geometrical errors in an angle of rotation measurement instrument, whereby after assembly of a sensor (1) the absolute angle determined by the sensor is measured and at the same time the same angle measured with a reference sensor (14) that is rigidly coupled to the sensor rotation axle. The systematic errors so determined are stored in the analysis unit (2) of the sensor and used in subsequently to correct actual measurements.
