The tool system has a rechargable battery pack (2) for driving the tool electric motor and a separate battery recharging device. The rechargable battery pack is releasably coupled to the tool housing and has a counter-contact device (14) cooperating with a contact device provided by the tool housing when an insertion part (12) provided by the battery pack is in engagement with a reception part provided by the tool housing. The insertion part and the reception part have cooperating keying profiles (15a,15b) preventing incorrect battery pack being fitted to tool housing.
