The tarpaulins (1) have integrated metal tubes (2) moving in guide rails (3) for opening and closing of the cargo hold. The hold has a tensioned self-supporting cover (4) which is enclosed by the upper guide rails. One or more vertical stiffener elements are positioned between the metal tubes and extend between upper and lower guide rails. The elements are of glass fiber or metal, and there are horizontal spacers (5) between the tubes. These are of a material with high damping characteristics, e.g. plastic. A door (10) integrated in the tarpaulin moves via pulleys in chains in upper and lower guide rails.
