The satellite reception antenna has 2 antenna elements or antenna element surfaces positioned one above the other at a given relative spacing, incorporating one or more dipoles for reception of HF waves. Each antenna element has a rectangular surface with a given length and width, the upper antenna element having a slit and the lower element having upstanding edges used for frequency tuning, with reception dipoles of selected length and angle associated with the lower antenna element and positioned at a given height between the antenna elements. The latter are supported at a given distance above the conductive roof skin of the automobile
