The corrugated sheet layer (8), for a honeycomb structure (6) with peaks (10) and valleys (11), has at least two zones (2,3) with a different material thickness. The transit between the two zones comprises an overlap in a valley so that, while the thickness changes, the corrugation peaks and valleys remain at a constant height and depth in both zones.
