The circuit (1) has an input (5,5') connected to a DC supply, an output (6,6') for DC supply of the LED light source (2) and a DC regulator (3) employing capacitors (C2,C4) and/or inductors (L) with a pulse modulation control and transistors (T2,T3) preventing discharge of the capacitors and/or inductors during the pulse pauses of the controlled current.
