The podium comprises at least two rows of seats rising up one behind the other and with each step of the podium designed as a portable structural unit with plinth (13, 14) with tabletop (22), lift-up seat (23) and backrest (24) to combine with further units to form auditorium seating. Each unit is designed for a maximum of four seating places. The units can have railings at their side ends. The units can be pre-fabricated.
