The impeller (16) automatically screws itself onto a rotating motor shaft (2) against its direction of rotation, and is fixed in axial and rotary direction relative to the shaft. Alternatively, a nut (14) engaging on a part (28) of the impeller away from the motor, is screwed automatically onto the shaft, and fixes the impeller. The impeller slides along the rotary axis and is moveable along it relative to the shaft. Fixing in rotary direction is by friction. The process is for testing purposes or for use by the customer. The impeller part (28) and apertures (30) in blades are cylindrical.
