The large tank for a plant for the immersion treatment of objects has a body and a support structure with a number of vertical reinforcing ribs lying against the walls of the tank body. The support structure is an independent support frame (3) in which the tank body (2) is installed without a mechanical connection. The vertically extending reinforcing ribs (16) of the support frame are connected by joints (19) to the support structure supporting the bottom of the tank body.
