Method for leaking testing of pipes and pipe-systems (14) in which temperature and pressure measurements are made over time so that an absolute, temperature and pressure dependent, volume alteration can be determined over a particular measurement time interval. The measured temperature and pressure values are subjected to filtering and from the filtered values a trend curve is determined which is used to determine accurate temperature and pressure values at a particular point in time. The values are then used in leak rate determination.
