Hybrid drive uses revolution rate as drive train revolution rate that can be verified on at least 2 independent asymmetrically redundant paths from measurement values, e.g. of engine, generator, motor
The drive has an internal combustion engine, electric motor, generator and branching gearbox. The drive train revolution rate is determined for use in controlling the drive by a sensor arrangement with separate sensors for the revolution rates of the engine, generator, motor, driven wheels and/or other wheels. A revolution rate that can be verified on at least 2 independent asymmetrically redundant paths is used as the drive train revolution rate. The drive has an internal combustion engine (7), an electric motor (5), a generator (8) and a branching gearbox (6) between the internal combustion engine, generator and electric motor. The revolution rate of the drive train (4) for use in controlling the hybrid drive is determined by a sensor arrangement (13-17). The sensor arrangement has separate sensors for determining the revolution rates of the internal combustion engine, generator, electric motor, the driven vehicle wheels (2) and/or other vehicle wheels (1). A revolution rate is used as the drive train revolution rate that can be verified on at least two independent asymmetrically redundant paths from the determined measurement values.
