Ventilator unit comprises a radial ventilator (1) having a support disk (2) rotatably mounted about an axis (A) and ventilator blades (3) and a support ring (4) fixed on the support disk, a housing (6) defining an inlet opening (7), and an outlet opening (8). The inlet opening is arranged on one side and the outlet opening on the other side of a plane (E) defined by a radially outer-lying edge (5) of the support ring. The plane defines the upper region (9) of the ventilator unit containing the inlet opening and a lower region (10). The housing has in the lower region a radially outward-extending curved region (11) defining the flow path downstream of the radial ventilator. An Independent claim is also included for a filter unit comprising the above ventilator unit.
