Broadband compensation of optical system group transition time effects with low dispersion oscillations involves direct impedance matching of surrounding material to layer stack using Brewster angle
Broadband compensation of optical system group transition time effects with low dispersion oscillations involves direct impedance matching of surrounding material to layer stack using Brewster angle
The method involves using direct impedance matching of a surrounding material to a layer stack by using the Brewster angle (ThetaB) of the material (2,3) of the layer system, which forms a dielectric mirror, for broadband compensation of group transition time effects in optical systems with dielectric mirrors. An optical mirror substrate is coated with a system of transparent dielectric layers of different refractive index and varied thickness. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a layer system for broadband compensation of group transition time effects such as dispersion oscillations in optical systems.
