The fastening of a brake disc on the wheel hub of a commercial motor vehicle entails supporting and fastening of the brake disc (6) on a flange (7) provided on the wheel hub (5), with several axially parallel screws (10) being screwed into threaded holes (15) in the flange and each passing through a fastening sleeve (11) which by plane parallel outer flats fit into a parallel walled radial recess (19) in the brake disc. The brake disc under the force action of the screw bearing by its head (12,13) on the outer free end face (24) of the fastening sleeve is pressed onto the flange of the wheel hub.
