The device has a reflector, a light source in a holder near a reflector opening and an adjustment unit with ring elements (14,15), essentially coaxial with an optical axis of the reflector. The ring elements are shaped so that a different axial extent along the periphery of the entire arrangement of the ring elements can be set by relative rotation of at least one ring element about the optical axis to produce a continuous tilting motion perpendicular to the optical axis.
