The siphon insert (10) is insertable in a pipe end piece of a sanitary installation as odor closure and comprises an exchangeable mass part of plastic with a pot-shaped outer part in which is an inner part (12). The inner part has a closure cap (22) covering the upper side of the outer part, from which edge-side projections extend, which locate on the upper edge of the outer part. Between the inner edge of the outer part and the closure cap inlet apertures for the fluid to be sluiced are formed. From the outer wall (16) outer part, which comprises limitedly elastically deformable plastic, lamellas (30,31,32) extend radially outwards, which form all-round sealing lips and in the installed state of the siphon insert locate under tension in a sealed manner on the inner wall of the end piece receiving the siphon insert.
