The installation channel has an elastic foil (101) of a damping material formed into a hose transverse to its longitudinal direction, with the overlapping hose arms (111,112) secured together via a strip-shaped adhesive layer (12) between the facing edges of the hose arms, one of which has cut-out sections (14) extending from this edge, allowing the revealed parts (121) of the adhesive layer to be used for securing the installation channel to a mounting wall in an automobile.
