Pneumatic vibration isolator comprises a housing (1) with upper (2) and lower (3) cylindrical parts that have overlapping walls that form an annulus (17). A supporting compressed air bearing (9) is arranged between upper and lower parts and acts as an axial support, while permitting relative radial movement of the two parts.
