Preparation of an anti-anemic complex and involves a polymaltose ferric hydroxide complex (trivalent iron) characterized by the reaction of an adequate quantity of dextrin partially hydrolized or of maltose or of a mixture of maltose and glucose. Preparation of an anti-anemic complex and involves a polymaltose ferric hydroxide complex (trivalent iron) characterized by the reaction of an adequate quantity of dextrin partially hydrolized or of maltose or of a mixture of maltose and glucose. In this latter mixture, the maltose is present in a quantity greater than 70 per cent, in an aqueous solution with a salt of trivalent iron of sulphuric acid, at the rate of a proportion by weight, of anhydric products, variable between 1.0:0.5 and 1.0:3.0 respectively. ACTIVITY : Antianemic MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
