Device for measuring the friction coefficient in the active joint during metal deforming, especially in a roll gap during cold and hot rolling metallic strips, drives the metallic strip through a jaw pair (10) having a variable drawing gap adjustment and through an integrated power measuring part (17) under a pulling force. The jaw pair can be easily exchanged via an insertion piece (11) of a frame (3).
