The diameter of the filaments (1a,1b,1n), the number of the individual filaments per bundle, the diameter of the bundle and the filament material properties are selected in such a way that hollow spaces (3a,3b,3c,3d,3e) are formed between several filaments. Capillary effects are created in the spaces so that liquid substances with the appropriate surface tension can flow through the spaces be discharged on to another medium at a defined point. The filament bundle is encased by a sleeve, so that hollow spaces are also formed between the sleeve and the filaments as well as between the filaments. The device is the first one to utilize the capillary effect arising in a filament bundle.
