The fluid filter, for use in a hydraulic system, has the shape of a pleated cylinder (1) where the pleat folds are set in a sequence. One pleat fold (5) covers the whole radial gap between the outer mantle surface (9) and the inner support tube (11). This followed by a second pleat fold (7) where the inner back (15) of the fold is at a gap from the inner support tube.
