Identification plates (3) made of paper, metal sheet, etc. are attached (glued, screwed, hang) to/on front faces of vertical partition walls (1) between rows of shelvings. Each plate carries a schematic drawing of a particular part (5), which occupies a fixed position on the shelf. The plate has a perforation line along its vertical axis to split the plate into two and place each half on a different shelf in case of repositioning of parts. Each half points into the direction of shelf on which the respective part is placed. The plates can be designed in color for easy recognition from a distance and additional information, e.g. dimensions of parts, can be displayed above each partition wall (1).
