The plasma discharge device uses a non-thermic plasma-chemical principle with a high quality steel inner core electrode (3) and a glass barrier (5) with a mass (4) of a liquid metal and a hardener between them for forming a fixed connection between the inner core electrode and the glass barrier. The electron flow can be varied by adjusting the length of the inner core electrode and/or the outer electrode (6). An Independent claim is also included for a method of sterilizing gases, neutralizing odors and particle removal.
