Production of implant comprises: (1) heating workpiece to create gap between carrier and covering synthetic glass or synthetic glass-ceramic; and (2) introducing bioactive material (especially hydroxyapatite, calcium sulfate and/or aluminum hydroxyapatite) into gap. An Independent claim is also included for a system for introduction of the implant into a human or animal body.
