The gas generator earthing device has an earthing cable with a cable connecting part (1) on one end that is electrically connected to the gas generator and that has an annular or cylindrical clamping sleeve (4) that can be inserted into a clamping aperture in the gas generator so that a clamping joint is made between the clamping sleeve and the clamping aperture. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of manufacturing a gas generator earthing device, especially an inventive device.
