The field strength correction method has the antenna current (I) regulated to obtain a specific current value during transmission of the HF pulses, by varying the power supplied to the antenna (1), the current held at a constant value during the magnetic resonance imaging. Field probes (4,5) can be used for providing a feedback signal (RS) representing the actual antenna current. An Independent claim for a magnetic resonance imaging device is also included.
