The longitudinal support has two interfitted hollow body support profiles (1) and an inner additional support (5). To form a first and second deformation path the inner additional support has a shorter longitudinal extension and smaller profile diameter than the surrounding longitudinal support which determines the outer contour. The outer longitudinal support (2) which is made of up pressed sheet metal parts defining the contour has a constant profile cross-sectional shape over its entire longitudinal extension.
