The method involves setting upper and lower values for blood flow in extracorporal circuit (2) during extracorporal blood treatment for given period at defined levels above and below a working point, measuring arterial or venous pressure in an arterial or venous branch of the extracorporal circuit for lower and upper flow levels, computing pressure change in vessel entrance from measured pressure and comparing with threshold. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for monitoring blood flow in a vessel entrance during extracorporal blood treatment.
