The device consists of one or more mainly self-locking fastener elements (5). Each element is mainly U-shaped, with a clamp tongue (7,8,7',8') or a pair (13,13') of corresponding tongues, on at least one leg. The retainer section (9) between the legs is formed for tolerance compensation for a wall section of the ventilation channel. The channel is fitted into the retainer section so that the tongues are pressed against the channel wall. Each fastener element is formed by a sheet metal clamp.
