The valve (10), especially for a domestic steam cleaning appliance, has a ring channel (36) inlet for the steam and an inlet (32) for a liquid. A valve spindle setting unit (14) gives a selective delivery of steam alone or a mixture of steam and liquid, and sets their volume flows through the outflow (60). The fixture for delivery can only start when the flow is at a minimum value. Initial rotation of the valve spindle gives only steam, with further rotation to introduce the liquid at an increasing rate.
