Non-destructive ultrasonic workpiece testing, involves moving ultrasonic heads mutually independently over component contour, in synchronization, exactly opposite each other on different sides of component
The method involves passing ultrasound through the component (B) with an arrangement of at least two ultrasonic heads (10,12) on opposite sides of the component, moved on a defined path over the component and coupled to it by a liquid jet. The at least two ultrasonic heads are moved over the contour of the component, mutually independently but in synchronism on the different sides of the component and exactly opposite each other. AN Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for non-destructive ultrasonic workpiece testing.
